Repairs begin on courthouse pillars

With the Supreme Court of the State of Ohio scheduled to hold a session at the Highland County Courthouse on Oct. 19, the county is making repairs and upgrades so that the oldest courthouse in continuous operation in Ohio will be in the best condition when the High Court assembles.
"We expect Legacy Restoration to complete its work by Oct. 15," Commissioner Tom Horst said, adding that the Fayette County business was recommended by Drew Hastings.
The costs for the inside repairs were from the special projects fund in Common Pleas Court, and from title office funds through the clerk of courts office.
