Rep. Wenstrup issues statement on Biden's decision to drop out of the presidential race

Today, President Joe Biden announced his decision to not seek re-election in the upcoming presidential race and leant his support for Vice President Kamala Harris to take the mantle as the Democrat Party nominee. 
 
"Today’s decision by President Biden is the correct decision for our country, one most Americans realized following the debate between Biden and Trump," Second District Rep. Brad Wenstrup said. "Many knew even before the debate.

"We will see in the coming days and weeks who the Democrat Party nominates to be their candidate in lieu of President Biden. What is clear is Republicans are unified behind our ticket and ready to elect President Trump and Sen. Vance in November. 

"The American people are looking for solutions to the crippling failures from our current Administration and ready to offer a clear, compelling alternative that focuses on economic growth, reducing government overreach and ensuring the safety and security of all Americans."
