Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) today appointed State Representative Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) to serve as the vice-chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee.

“As a military veteran myself, I look forward to serving in a leadership role on the Veterans Affairs committee and working to protect our neighbors in uniform, as well as their families,” Rep. Rosenberger said.

Rep. Rosenberger is a U.S. Air Force veteran assigned to the 113th fighter wing of the Air National Guard. He worked in traffic management operations, assisting operational inspections that are designed to test war readiness and logistic movements.

While serving as state representative of the 86th District, Rep. Rosenberger sponsored House Bill 121, which protects military members from having their custody rights changed simply because their military service is activated. The legislation was signed into law on June 9th, 2011.

In addition to his new appointment, Rep. Rosenberger also serves on the Public Utilities Committee, the Transportation, Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, and the Economic and Small Business Development Committee.[[In-content Ad]]
