Parole hearing delayed 90 days for convicted killer Eugene Gall, Jr.

A parole hearing for convicted child killer and former Hillsboro resident Eugene Gall, Jr. has been delayed at least 90 days, the Ohio Parole Board said this month.

Gall, 67, is linked to a series of murders, assaults and rapes in 1977 and 1978 in southern Ohio and northern Kentucky.

In April 1977, Gall was paroled from the Lebanon Correctional Institution after serving less than five years for assaults on five women in Butler and Warren counties, including the rape at knife-point of a 15-year-old, the Dayton Daily News reported.

Following his release, Gall later linked to the Oct. 20, 1977 death of 14-year-old Beth Ann Mote; a March 7, 1978 rape of a 13-year-old Dayton girl; an April 3, 1978 abduction of four Beavercreek school children; and the April 5, 1978 abduction, rape and murder of 12-year-old Lisa Jansen, 12, of Cincinnati.

Gall is incarcerated at the Southeastern Correctional Institution in Lancaster on murder, rape, kidnapping, robbery, attempted rape and other charges.
