Ohio Ethics Commission meets Nov. 3

The Ohio Ethics Commission will meet on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. in the William Green Building, 30 West Spring Street, Columbus.

The meeting will occur in Room 2 on the second floor. Anyone interested in attending the meeting can reach the second floor via the public escalators on the northeast side of the building’s lobby.

The Advisory Committee met on Oct. 26, 2011 to review advisory opinion requests and discuss several opinion drafts.

The Investigative Committee of the Commission will meet prior to the Commission meeting on November 26, at 9 a.m. The Investigative Committee will discuss the Commission’s investigative processes and review several pending investigations and investigation requests. Investigative Committee meetings are closed and confidential, under statutory provision.

The Commission meeting will begin at 10 a.m. with a Call to Order.

During the Executive Session, the Commission will hear a confidential report on complaints and pending investigations concerning alleged violations of the Ethics Law and related statutes, litigation and personnel matters. This is the only portion of the Commission meeting which is statutorily closed to the public.
