Adams County

A resurfacing project on S.R. 32 is scheduled to begin the week of April 2. Crews will be paving the route between the Adams-Brown County line and S.R. 247 at Seaman. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in at least one lane in each direction, and the project is anticipated to be completed by mid to late October.

Brown County


Operations for a bridge replacement project on C.R. 21 (White Oak Valley Road) at T.R. 32 (McCall Road) have resumed, and the route is now closed. Traffic is being detoured via U.S. 69 and C.R. 83 (Smoky Row Road), and the scheduled completion date is July 31, 2012.

A guardrail replacement project is under way on S.R. 41. Crews will be replacing guardrail between Aberdeen and S.R. 136 in Adams County, working as weather permits. Traffic will be maintained with the use of flaggers and/or arrow boards.

S.R. 221 is reduced to one lane due to a slip. Traffic is being maintained in one lane with the use of temporary traffic signals.

U.S. 52 is reduced to one lane at the 16.02-mile marker, between T.R. 232 (Logan Gap Road) and T.R. 573 (Three Mile Creek Road), just east of Ripley, for an emergency slide repair project. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with temporary signals.
 
Highland County

 
C.R. 39 (Greenbush Road) is closed at Beltz Road, immediately west of Buford, for a bridge replacement project. The route will be closed for up to 120 days, and while it is closed, motorists will be detoured via S.R. 134, S.R. 286 and U.S. 68.
 
C.R. 11 (Bridges Road) is closed just south of its junction with S.R. 771 for a bridge replacement project. The closure is scheduled to be in place for up to 90 days, and while the route is closed, traffic will be detoured via S.R. 138 and S.R. 771.

Jackson County

A bridge replacement on S.R. 139 is scheduled to begin in late March or early April, pending final utility work. Crews will be replacing a structure located at the route’s 11.64-mile marker, between T.R. 745 (Ralph Riegel Road) and T.R. 274 (Chestnut Grove Road). The route will be closed for up to 45 days, and while it is closed motorists will be detoured via S.R. 32, S.R. 93 and S.R. 279.

Lawrence County


A slip repair project on S.R. 378 has been suspended for the winter months, and the route is open to traffic. Crews will return in the spring to complete pavement repairs near T.R. 220 (Trace Creek-Marion Ridge Road), approximately one mile west of the route’s end at S.R. 141. The scheduled completion date for all work is June 30, 2012.

A bench cleaning project is under way on U.S. 52 West. Crews will be clearing the ledge and ditch area alongside the route’s westbound lanes between the S.R. 93 interchange at Ironton and T.R. 268 (Crabtree Hollow Road). During most operations, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane during working hours; eastbound traffic should not be affected by this project.

Construction for the Ironton-Russell Bridge replacement has begun, with preliminary work being conducted off affected roadways. There should be little to no impact to traffic; however, motorists are advised of equipment entering and exiting the work zone at the U.S. 23 viaduct in Kentucky.

Pike County

A relocation project at S.R. 220 and C.R. 81 (Schuster Road) has resumed for paving, signalization and other work. Currently, S.R. 220 traffic is being routed via the relocated section of roadway; all affected county roads are also open to traffic. Motorists are advised of the changes in traffic patterns, and they are reminded to exercise additional caution when traveling through the work zone. The scheduled completion date for all work is July 9, 2012.

A slip repair project on C.R. 50 (Watson Road) has been suspended for the winter months, and the route is open to traffic. Crews will return to the route’s 3.16-mile marker, just south of the Ross-Pike County line, to complete pavement repair and finishing work.

Ross County


U.S. 50 is reduced to one lane between C.R. 207 (Vigo Road) and T.R. 219 (Dixon Mill Road) for a bridge replacement project. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one, 12-foot lane with temporary traffic signals, and the scheduled completion date is September 30, 2012.

A bridge replacement project on T.R. 523 (Hess Lane) is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. Crews will be replacing a bridge near the end of Hess Lane, which is located near the Jackson County line.  Once construction begins, traffic will be maintained in one lane.
Scioto County

A slide repair project is under way at the 0.14-mile marker on S.R. 139 in New Boston, and the route is closed to traffic. The project site is located between the route’s junction with U.S. 52 and Pine Street, and while the route is closed, traffic will be detoured via S.R. 335 and U.S. 52. The closure is scheduled to be in effect through early September; during the remainder of construction following this, traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
