New Market Township to hold special meeting on fire/EMS

The New Market Township Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Monday, May 7 at 7 p.m. at to discuss future of EMS and fire services in New Market Township.

The meeting will be held at the Hopewell Center at 5350 West New Market Road.

The trustees said they encourage all township residents to attend the meeting to ask questions or share concerns regarding EMS and fire services.

New Market currently contracts with the city of Hillsboro for the services. However, the city has said that by 2013 the five townships that contract with them for the services will either have to join a fire district with the city, or seek an alternative option.
