National Weather Service issues heat advisory for June 29-July 2
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for June 29-July 2 for Highland and surrounding counties.
Heat index values up to 105 are expected in Adams, Highland and Brown counties in Ohio and in Bracken, Mason and Robertson counties in Kentucky.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
The National Weather Services advises residents to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
