A Clay Township firefighter has been indicted on drug related charges, according to the Highland County Sheriff's Office.

Joel R. Harris, 26, was indicted by a grand jury in Highland County Common Pleas Court on charges related to corrupting another with drugs.

According to the HCSO, the indictment was the result of an investigation with the sheriff's office detectives and caseworkers with the Clinton County Children Services after there were allegations Harris provided two small children with marijuana.

Harris is facing two counts of corrupting another with drugs, each a felony of the fourth degree.

The HCSO said Harris was listed as a firefighter with the Mt. Orab Fire Department. He turned himself in July 28 and was arraigned in Highland County Common Pleas Court before Judge Rocky Coss, via video arraignment. He is currently out on bond and will be scheduled for a pretrial hearing in common pleas court.
