Meanwhile, Ohio Department of Transportation crews were dispatched Monday, Dec. 20 to patrol and treat the state highway system this morning for snow and ice.
Currently, most routes are wet and slick and many are becoming lightly snow-covered. In addition, black ice may be present, especially on bridges and overpasses which are likely to freeze more quickly.
Motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution when traveling not only today but throughout the winter weather months as conditions can change from minute to minute and mile to mile.
