Merchants National Bank made a donation of four silent auction items on Tuesday, March 12 to the Hillsboro Rotary Club for the Highland County Society for Children and Adults Telethon.

The autographed, framed sports photos include pictures of the Big Red Machine Cincinnati Reds team, current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton and The Ohio State University football coach and BCS National Champion coach Urban Meyer.

Merchants National Bank representatives Bonnie Barton and Bertha Hamilton said that the items will be available during the silent auction and that a minimum bid would be on the sheet.

In addition to the silent auction items, the bank is also donating sports-related throws and a purse to be given away during the telethon.

The donated items are from CEI Sports, a company based in Blue Ash that specializes in baseball, football and college sports memorabilia.

Merchants National Bank will host the 41st annual telethon, which will be held Wednesday, March 27 from 6-10 p.m.

The community is encouraged to attend the telethons in person at either location or listen live to WVNU 97.5 FM or WCHO 105.5 FM.

Pledges may be mailed to HCSCA, P.O. Box 258, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
