Meet illustrator Christina Wald on April 10 at SSCC Hillsboro

Southern State Community College will host a special presentation and book-signing by children's illustrator Christina Wald 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on the college's Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in industrial design, Wald specializes in illustration, and toy, giftware and product design. Her book "Habitat Spy" won the Brain Child Tillywig Toy Award and "Henry the Impatient Heron" won a gold Mom's Choice Award. In 2011, she designed the Books by the Banks poster. Seven of Wald's illustrated children's books will be available for sale during the event, including "Annie Jump Canyon, Astronomer," "Black Beauty," "Henry the Impatient Heron," "Wild Life of Elk," "The Barnyard," "Habitat Spy" and "Little Red Bat."
The event was coordinated to coincide with Southern State's EDUC 230: Children and Books coursework; however, the public also is cordially invited to attend.
