Man reportedly stabbed in Greenfield

At 8:42 a.m., Greenfield Police officers responded to a reported stabbing in the 400 block of Jefferson St., Greenfield.

According to Greenfield Police Chief Tim Hester, officers located two males who had been involved in an altercation, one having been stabbed and the other with minor injuries.

A 34-year-old Greenfield man was seriously injured with a stab wound to the neck area. He was transported by Paint Creek EMS/Fire to Adena Greenfield Medical Center (AGMC) and later transferred to OSU Medical Center in Columbus by helicopter.

The other male, Chase Dennis, 27, of Greenfield, was also injured with abrasions and was treated and released at AGMC.

Dennis was arrested and charged with felonious assault, and is currently being held in the Greenfield City Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond. He will appear for arraignment in Highland County Court, Greenfield, on Thursday at 9 a.m.
