Lynchburg man injured in U.S. 50 crash

A Lynchburg man was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital Saturday after he sustained injuries in two-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 near Worley Mill Road.

 

According to the Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Toyota Tundra, driven by Jeffrey Satterfield, 43, of Bainbridge, had slowed down near the intersection of Worley Mill Road, "due to slow-moving traffic." While the vehicle had slowed down, it was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Cavalier, driven Donald McKenzie, 26, of Lynchburg. 

 

McKenzie was extracted from the vehicle by Hillsboro Fire and Rescue, and transported by helicopter from the scene. His condition was not available. 

 

Satterfield was transported by HFR to Highland District Hospital. A passenger in the Tundra was not listed as having sustained any injuries. 

 

The incident remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
