Lowell Chambers, Rusty Fite announce Prudential Chambers-Fite Realty Jan. 1

Prudential Chambers Realty has announced the formation of Prudential Chambers-Fite Realty effective Jan. 1, 2014, as longtime Realtor Rusty Fite is becoming a partner in the local real estate business.
Lowell Chambers and Rusty Fite have a combined 74 years of experience in the real estate and auctioneering profession, as Lowell has been in the business for 53 years, "give or take a few months," and Rusty is in his 21st year, including the last 11 years as a broker.
Lowell started his real estate career with the Layman Realty Company in Hillsboro.
The new Prudential Chambers-Fite Realty traces its origin to the former Hunter-Mayhugh Realty and Auction Company, which was located on East Main Street in Hillsboro, with owners Charlie Hunter and Delmar Mayhugh.
According to the company's website, www.chambersrealty.net, in 1969 Mr. Mayhugh retired and Lowell Chambers became the new co-owner.
Hunter-Chambers Realty and Auction Company continued at the same location until 1986, when Charlie Hunter passed away. The business then became Chambers Realty and Auction Company and moved to its present location at 216 North High Street, Hillsboro, in 1993.
In 1995, the company affiliated with Coldwell Banker, a national real estate company. In 2006, Chambers Realty aligned with Prudential and became Prudential Chambers Realty, with 13 full-time agents at that time.
The company has been in business since 1959 and handles everything from commercial real estate to residential, farms, vacant land and auctioneering.
"Our services will remain the same," Lowell told The Highland County Press during a Monday, Dec. 23 interview from the North High office. "Rusty is more accomplished in the computer age. The computer age is where we're at now. It's the new way of communication."
According to Rusty, the business will continue to provide outstanding customer service, be it through the Internet or direct, one-on-one communication.
"Everything in real estate – and other businesses – is instantaneous now," he said.
"We try to respond to each client and customer as quickly as we can. While often the first contact a customer has is through the Internet, we still have to provide that personal touch. We want each client to feel that they are the most important to us."
