Local karate competitors recognized

The Lynchburg Bushido Warriors competed in the annual Manaka NI Sangatsu tournament held at the Lynchburg-Clay Middle School on March 16.

Al Conaway honored

Grand master Al Conaway was recently honored at McClain High School during the Buckeye State Karate Grand Championships.

Several students of Conaway's instructors – Rick Crawford, Jeff Jones and Rick Ludwick – won trophies at the competition. Conaway's grandson, Adam Clouser, placed first in black belt form and third in fighting.
