Due to heightened security incidents and area robberies within the community, NCB recently hosted an informational safety meeting with Hillsboro local law enforcement for local banks.

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Hillsboro Police Chief Todd Whited, Hillsboro Assistant Fire Chief Chad Hamilton and recently elected Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera spoke to six local banks’ staff to discuss bank security and safety preparedness.

Local law enforcement discussed preventative measures, safety protocols and proper responses to security threats.

"It is important that we all work together and take similar safety measures to assist our local law enforcement," said Deb Jones, NCB Co-President.

Local banks participating in the safety awareness meeting included: Fifth Third Bank, First Financial Bank, First State Bank, Merchant's National Bank, National Bank & Trust and NCB.
