Junior Fair Queen Contest candidates sought

The Highland County Agricultural Society invites any girl who is a member of a youth organization (4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Farm Bureau Youth, Girl Scouts, etc.) to be a candidate for the 2012 Highland County Junior Fair Queen Contest.

She must have turned 15 by Jan. 1, 2012. The contest is open to girls from 15-19 years of age. Candidates will be judged on poise and conduct, application, personal interview with judges and oral presentation on this year's fair theme, "Where your adventure begins."

The contest is Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Highland County Fairgrounds. Applications can be obtained at
the Highland County Extension Office, 112 Governor Foraker Place. The application deadline is Aug. 17. No late applications will be accepted.
