Hillsboro woman arrested for inducing panic

A Hillsboro woman has been arrested for inducing panic.
Cheryl Irwin, 46, of Hillsboro was charged by the Hillsboro Police Department this week. On Nov. 26 at approximately 11:35 p.m., HPD received a call that Irwin was on her way to a residence on South East Street, and the caller advised that Irwin had a gun in her vehicle.
"Upon officers responding to South East Street, the victim stated that she was in fear for her life and did leave the residence," the HPD reported. "A short time later, Irwin was found back at her residence."
Through investigation, a handgun was recovered in a vehicle parked a short distance from her residence and Irwin was arrested.
