Hillsboro woman arrested on domestic violence charges

On Wednesday, March 14 at approximately 8:56 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on West South St. in reference to a domestic violence complaint.
Upon officer's arrival, it was learned that two sisters had gotten into an argument, and one of the sisters choked and struck the other sister. Witnesses in the residence advised officers that the victim had been knocked unconscious after being struck. Hillsboro EMS was called to the scene, but the victim was not transported.
Sandra Jones, 30, of Hillsboro was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.
