Hillsboro Swim Organization votes to sell pool

The Hillsboro Swim Organization voted on April 3 to sell the swimming pool at auction this spring.
The decision was made after carefully examining costs to repair the pool after vandalism and mechanical difficulties.
We are confident that by selling the pool we will be able to pay off our remaining debt. We hope that by returning the pool to the private sector, its best possible use will be found. It would be wonderful if it could remain a pool as it has been for the past 66 years.
The Board would like to thank all those who sold their stock very affordably to the HSO; those who contributed to our fundraising efforts; our employees; and those who volunteered time to keep the pool running the past four years. We give special give thanks to all the patrons who enjoyed the facility.
