On Jan. 13, 2010, Desiree Green of Springer Road in Hillsboro, driving a 2001 Mitsubishi, was attempting to back from a parking space in the Southern State parking lot and struck a 2001 ISU that was backing and was being driven by Kitsy Lee of U2 62 in Hillsboro.
On Jan. 13, 2010, Courtney Covert of Whitley Road in Lynchburg, driving a 2004 Pontiac, was traveling eastbound on Harry Sauner Road and failed to stop for a 2005 Dodge that was stopped in traffic and was being driven by Loren Johnson of Greenfield, Ohio. Covert was cited for following too close.
On Jan. 14, 2010, Lykins Oil Company of Fair Street reported that their building was entered and someone had taken a set of wrenches and six heavy duty extension cords.
On Jan. 14, 2010, Blue Flame of North High Street reported overnight that someone had taken four heavy extension cords from the parking lot at their business.
Arrests for Jan. 14, 2010:
Shane Cordy, 35, of Wilmington, Ohio, for bench warrant, failure to appear;
Juliane Cartaino, 36, of North High Street in Hillsboro, for indictment charges.
