Hillsboro man killed in Clinton County crash

The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a one-fatality vehicle crash which occurred on state Route 350, milepost 12, Clark Township, Clinton County.
A white Ford Mustang driven by Scott K. Lowe, 40, of Hillsboro, was eastbound on state Route 350. Lowe failed to maintain control of his vehicle. Lowe ran off the right side of the roadway and slid approximately 200 feet, striking a series of trees. Lowe was not wearing a safety belt and was ejected from the vehicle.[[In-content Ad]]
A witness stated he observed Lowe's vehicle traveling eastbound on state Route 350 at a high rate of speed. He later heard a loud crash approximately one mile away from his location.
No alcoholic beverages or illegal narcotics are suspected at this time in the investigation.
