Hillsboro City Council to meet Dec. 10

Hillsboro City Council will meet Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. for their scheduled monthly meeting.

Council is scheduled to look at lodging tax collected by the city and discuss the Smith-Hobart Drive project. The street and safety committee will discuss the left turn signal at the Harry Sauner Road and Save-a-Lot parking lot intersection. They will also discuss a US 62 traffic study and the Festival committee.

First readings of ordinances and resolutions will include an ordinance to make appropriations for expenses for the City in 2013; a resolution to increase appropriations in the Municipal Court general fund; a resolution for the transfer of various funds; a resolution to increase appropriations in the general fund to other funds as needed; a resolution to increase appropriations in the 510 Sewer Debt Retirement Fund; and an ordinance vacating an alleyway adjoining in-lot numbers 1172, 1173, 1174 and 1182 on East main Street (ODOT garage and Pike Gas Co.).

In other business, council will be discussing the health insurance bid for 2013 and election of two members of council to the Volunteer Firefighters' Dependents Fund Board.
