Commissioners Shane Wilkin, Tom Horst and Jeremy Shaffer met Wednesday with Kirby Ellison from the Hillsboro Christian Academy (HCA) board and HCA students Casey Fife, Devin McCollum, Jacob Ellison and Scarlett Keith regarding the HCA's National Honor Society's summer food drive for area children.

The HCA honor society students are asking people to make food or monetary donations at area churches, Community Market, Kroger or the academy at 8230 U.S. 50.

"As children begin their summer vacation and leave school behind, many also leave behind breakfast and lunch five days a week," Ellison said.

The HCA is partnering with Highland County Community Action for this summer food program.
