Highland District Hospital (HDH), in partnership with the Highland District Hospital Foundation, proudly unveiled and dedicated a commemorative granite Highland County township map at the entrance of the facility.

Being one of only three township-owned and operated hospitals in the state of Ohio, the project is a visual and educational tribute to the shared history, shared responsibility, and shared future of the organization along with the townships.

“Together with each township represented, we have shaped the mission and values of this hospital which promises exceptional care and exceptional service remains within our county. This project is a testament to that promise,” stated HDH President & CEO, Tim Parry.

The year and a half long project was two-fold and included a remodel of the existing Veterans Memorial Garden, which was originally installed in 2001, and then the installation of the 22 feet by 22 feet granite map surrounded by benches for patients and their families to utilize while on campus.

“This new area represents a place of rest and peace. It’s a symbol and a reminder of who we are and whom we serve,” concluded Parry, “This map will now hold a place of distinction on our campus for years to come.”
