Each year the HCCA works towards providing cattlemen valuable information that they can take to their own operations. They hold educational meetings that teach the producer how to gain profit, work with local agencies and agricultural businesses.

The HCCA feels that it is important to give back to the youth within their county. They offer incentives for county born and bred cattle that show at their county fair and have a floor bid on those cattle that go through the sale ring.

Each year at the Ohio State Fair, the HCCA volunteers their time to help out at the food pavilion and the reigning Highland County Beef Queen worked in the membership booth as well as the Ohio Cattle Women store. At the national level they have various cattlemen that attend the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association convention and committee.

The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association is an affiliate of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and is the state’s spokesperson and issues manager for all segments of the beef cattle industry including cattle breeders, producers and feeders.

It is the grass roots policy development organization for the beef business. Through the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association, cattle producers work to create a positive business environment, while providing consumers with a safe and wholesome product.
