Hamilton guilty on grand theft charge

After 20 minutes of deliberation, a Highland County Common Pleas Court jury found Brian Hamilton guilty of grand theft, a felony four, on Thursday, Sept. 13.

The four-hour jury trial stemmed from a Highland County Sheriff's Office investigation into allegation that Hamilton, 35, had stolen a truck from a Rainsboro business.

Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Hamilton to 17 months in prison.
