Gunshots reportedly fired at Adams County motorists

A Cincinnati TV station is reporting that a section of Route 41 near Peebles has been closed after reports of gunshots.

WKRC Channel 12 (www.local12.com) said Adams County officials closed down a section of state Route 41 as they search for someone who is firing shots at cars.

The section of highway affected is between Route 781 and State Route 32.

Officers began getting calls from drivers who reported someone was shooting at them around 12:30 p.m. Monday. No one had been hit, WKRC-TV said.

The incident remains under investigation.
