The Greenfield Police Department responded to a domestic complaint at approximately 5:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8.

Upon arrival, officers were met by a female resident in the street who told them there were men fighting in the house.

Once inside the two-story structure, officers found the men fighting, but also discovered they were in the middle of a meth lab.

Ohio BCI was called to process the scene.

Officers say it is possibly the largest meth lab they have seen in this area.

Paint Creek Fire/EMS was also on scene and had charged lines ready to go in case of an explosion or release of chemicals.

Jody R. Watson, 34, Greenfield, was charged with illegal assembly of chemicals, a felony 2. He appeared for arraignment in Highland County Court Monday and his bond was continued at $250,000.

His preliminary hearing will be on Monday, June 17 at 9 a.m. in county court.

He has been transferred to the Justice Center.

Additional charges may be filed.
