Greenfield man killed in mobile home fire

A Greenfield man was found dead Thursday night after his mobile home caught fire.
At 9:15 p.m. Thursday, the Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District responded to a call of a working fire with entrapment at a Greenfield trailer park at 721 Carford Pike.
According to Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire Chief Bradley George, the mobile home was fully engulfed, with fire coming out of the windows of the structure. Upon entry, Paint Creek Fire crews as well as the Greenfield Police Department discovered the body of a male victim in a wheelchair.
[[In-content Ad]]George said that the State Fire Marshal has been notified. Highland County Coroner Dr. Paul Terrell was called to the scene and had the victim's body transported to Montgomery County for an autopsy.
"At this point in time, between our department and the State Fire Marshal's office, the cause of the fire is undetermined until we get the results of the autopsy," George said.
In addition to crews from Paint Creek Joint Fire/EMS and the Greenfield Police Department, the Highland County North Joint Fire and Ambulance District and the Wayne Township Fire Department (Fayette County) responded to the scene.
