Greenfield man convicted on drug charges

A Greenfield man was convicted on drug charges in a one-day trial held this week in Highland County Common Pleas Court.
Donald Scott Pearson, according to Assistant Highland County Prosecutor David Henry, was found guilty on one charge of possession of crack cocaine, and one count of trafficking in cocaine, both felonies of the fifth degree.
Henry said officers with the Greenfield Police Department, along with two individuals who it had been alleged Pearson had sold drugs to, testified during the trial.
Pearson was represented by attorney Conrad Curren, and did not present any witnesses.
Henry said the jury deliberated for less than half an hour before returning the guilty verdicts. He was sentenced to 12 months in prison, which according to Henry, was the maximum sentence he could get by law.[[In-content Ad]]
