By

The Highland County Press -- The city of Greenfield may be close to naming a new city manager to succeed former city manager Charley Bowman. According to acting city manager Harvey Everhart, the city is down to "three or four" potential candidates. Everhart declined to comment on any of the finalists. Former Hillsboro mayor Betty Bishop has been mentioned as a possible candidate, as has Nelsonville city manager Joseph Scherer. Everhart had no comment on either of the two possible candidates. Everhart said the city would like to announce its new city manager as "quickly as possible." [[In-content Ad]]
