Greenfield businessman Gary Schluep to serve on Paint Valley ADAMH board

Gary Schluep of Greenfield is set to be the newest member of the Paint Valley Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board, Executive Director Juni Frey told commissioners this week.
The board has a total of five openings, with three positions expected to be filled this year and two next year, Frey said.
“Gary has expressed interest in serving on the board, and I think he would be good,” Frey said.
Commissioners Gary Heaton and Tom Horst agreed.
Commission President Shane Wilkin said he didn’t disagree, but that he did not know Schluep.
“We can do a resolution on this next week,” Horst said.
Frey said she is still looking for a new board member from Ross County and one more from Highland County. Board members serve a four-year term.
The board meets the third Wednesday of each month in Chillicothe. For more information, go to www.pvadamh.org.
Commissioners also opened two bids for renovations to the Highland County Courthouse. The bids, $76,100 and $121,050, respectively, were deemed too high for acceptance.
“I don’t think there’s any way we can do it,” Wilkin said. “I don’t think we can ask for donations.”
“No, businesses are strapped right now,” Horst said.
