GOP hosts swearing in ceremony

Highland County Republican county officeholders and State Rep. Cliff Rosenberger had their swearing-in ceremony Friday afternoon at the Hi-TEC Center in Hillsboro.
Highland County Republican Party chair Kay Ayres and the local GOP hosted the event.
Among those accepting their oath of office included:
• Highland County Clerk of Courts Ike Hodson, being sworn in by Highland County Juvenile and Probate Court Judge Kevin Greer;
• Highland County Prosecuting Attorney Anneka Collins, being sworn in by Judge Greer;
• Highland County Assistant Prosecutor Molly Bolek, being sworn in by Collins;
• Highland County Recorder Chad McConnaughey, being sworn in by Judge Greer;
• Highland County Engineer Dean Otworth, being sworn in by Judge Richard Davis (ret.);
• Highland County Coroner Dr. Jeffrey Beery, being sworn in by his brother, Hillsboro City Law Director Fred Beery; and,
• Ohio's 91st House District Representative Cliff Rosenberger, being sworn in by Judge Greer;
Also recognized during the ceremony were: Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward, who will be sworn in next week by Judge Greer; Highland County Commissioner Tom Horst, who was sworn in earlier this week by Judge Davis; Highland County Commissioner Shane Wilkin, who will be sworn in Monday by Judge Greer; and Highland County Treasurer Vickie Warnock, whose new term begins in September.
All candidates thanked the party members for their efforts and all voters of Highland County.
