Golfers tee off to support local healthcare at the annual Highland District Hospital Foundation Golf Outing

The Highland District Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the successful completion of its annual golf outing, which welcomed a total of 28 teams coming together to support healthcare in our community. The annual golf outing was held at Buckeye Hills Country Club Friday, June 13.
 
By the end of the day, $16,000 was raised to support the mission and annual plan of the Highland District Hospital Foundation.

“We’re incredibly grateful to see so many teams come together in support of our hospital,” said Erin Richmond, Foundation manager. “This event is about more than just golf – it’s about giving back, strengthening our community, and helping ensure our hospital has the resources needed to deliver exceptional care,” Richmond said.
 
The tournament recognized three winners at this year’s event. The first-place winner was First State Bank with golfers Ryan Brewer, Jalen James, Elijah McCarty, and Adam Poole. 

Second place was taken by golfers Josh Williams, Wayne Harless, Zach Harless and Bill Ray. 

Third place was awarded to Weller’s Plumbing & Heating with golfers Rich Graves, Mindy Hunter, Steve Hunter and Mark Hunter.
 
“This event would not be possible without the support of the many sponsors and the teams that played in the outing. A special thanks to over 20 volunteers comprised of our hospital employees and Foundation Board members that help to plan, prepare, and staff the event. We are thankful for the continued support from local businesses and individuals whose generosity makes it possible for us to care for our community,” Richmond said.
