Former clerk of courts employee indicted by Highland County Grand Jury

The Highland County Grand Jury handed down a Summons on Indictment on former Highland County Clerk of Court employee, Bobbie J. Kirschner, on Dec. 4, on one count of theft, a felony of the fifth degree; and tampering with records, a felony of the third degree.
The indictments are a result of a criminal investigation conducted by detectives at the Highland County Sheriff’s Office after they were contacted by Highland County Clerk of Courts, Ike Hodson on Sept. 24 after accounting irregularities were found involving monetary funds at the title office, a division of the Clerk of Courts located in the Hi-TEC building.

Kirschner, 44, has been a longtime employee of the Highland County Clerk of Courts and has resigned since the onset of this investigation.
“Highland County Clerk of Courts Ike Hodson and the entire staff of the Clerk of Courts have been very helpful and cooperative during the course of this investigation,” Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward said.
Kirschner is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 13 at 1 p.m. in the Highland County Court of Common Pleas.
