Fatal shooting investigated in Adams County

The Adams County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting that happened Saturday night, Sept. 4 in Meigs Township.
Adams County deputies said 46-year-old Marvin Evans went to 57-year-old Charles Rankin's home in the 1700 block of Big Run Road in Meigs Township at about 7:45 p.m.
Investigators said the men got into an argument, which allegedly led to Evans shooting Rankin. Paramedics said Rankin died on the way to a hospital.
Evans was taken into custody and is being held in the Adams County jail.
