Fatal crash investigated off S.R. 73

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred off state Route 73 near Murphy Road at approximately 12:37 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26.

 

A 2004 Chrysler minivan, driven by George H. Theobald, 79, of Hillsboro was northbound on S.R. 73 and traveled off the roadway and struck a ditch. The highway was snow-covered at the time of the crash, the OSHP said.

 

Mr. Theobald was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner's Office.
