EMA to meet April 18

By
-

There will be a meeting for the Highland County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) on Wednesday, April 18 at 7 p.m. in the basement of the Highland County Administration Building. The purpose of the meeting will be to elect the members of the Executive Board for the EMA. One appointed trustee from each township must attend the meeting, as those members will make up the Advisory Board. The Advisory Board will then elect or appoint the Executive Board. This Board will be made up of five (5) Trustees, one (1) Commissioner, and one (1) non-elected representative. This meeting is very important, as the Executive Board will be the parties responsible for shaping the direction of the EMA.

In addition, should you know of anyone willing to serve in the capacity of the “non-elected” representative, please advise our office. Please make sure that whomever you suggest is willing to serve prior to nominating them.
