Daniels meets with Ohio Pork Producers

The Ohio Pork Producers Council Board of Directors recently opened their board meeting doors and welcomed newly appointed Director of Agriculture David Daniels.
Daniels was recently named by Gov. John Kasich to lead the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
Daniels spoke to the group of Ohio pig farmers and industry representatives on his new role. Daniels says he is excited to work with Ohio’s farming community, including involvement with the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board.
OPPC board members took this opportunity to introduce themselves to the new director and discuss opportunities for working with him in his new position.
Daniels is a life-long farmer and served eight years in the Ohio House before winning a seat in the Ohio Senate in January 2011. He also served as a Highland County commissioner, Greenfield city councilman and mayor of Greenfield.
