Daniels, Hastings, Mikkelsen vie for Hillsboro mayor's office WATCH THE VIDEOS

While each has a different plan for getting Hillsboro back on track, the three Republican candidates for Hillsboro mayor say that the next four years will be crucial to the viability and success for the county seat of Highland County. 

 

Rod Daniels, Drew Hastings and Terry Mikkelsen are vying for the Hillsboro mayor's office, and each brings in a different skill set, experience and plan for Hillsboro's future. 

 

The winner of the March 3 Republican primary election will face Independent candidate John Levo in the November general election. 

 

Incumbent Democratic mayor Dick Zink is not seeking another term in office. 

 

The Highland County Press sat down with each candidate to discuss their plans for Hillsboro, and how each feels he could be most effective as Hillsboro's next leader.
