County commissioners and engineers conference kicks off Monday in Columbus
The County Commissioners Association of Ohio and County Engineers Association of Ohio (CCAO/CEAO) Winter Conference will bring more than 900 local government officials, affiliates and guests to Columbus on Dec. 10-11.
Gov. John Kasich and Bruce McPheron, vice president for Agricultural Administration and dean of the Ohio State University College of Agriculture and Environmental Science, are the featured speakers for the 132nd annual conference that will be conducted at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, 400 North High St.
A variety of public officials will be attending the conference, which lists more than 100 different sessions, meetings and events. In addition to the two sponsoring organizations, members of the following organizations will participate in the conference: County Administrators Association, County Commissioners Clerks & Engineers Administrative Professionals Association, County Loss Control Coordinators Association, County Planning Association, County Purchasing Association, County Sanitary Engineers Association of Ohio,
Facility Management Association, Ohio County Dog Warden Association, Ohio County Home Association, and Organization of Solid Waste Districts of Ohio.
Kasich and Dr. Bruce McPheron will speak at the opening general session on Monday, Dec. 10. Gov. Kasich is scheduled to speak about at 1 p.m.
