Comment period open for upcoming ODOT projects

As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed projects.
Highland County – HIG-134-10.60 (PID: 84449) – It is proposed to replace a bridge over Little North Fork of White Oak Creek on S.R. 134 in Salem Township. Some small trees and bushes will be removed as part of the project; however, none of the trees have habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat. No new right of way will be needed, and no homes, businesses or structures will be removed by the project.[[In-content Ad]]
Scioto County – SCI-73-10.42 (PID: 87329) – It is proposed to install a liner to a steel culvert located at the 10.42-mile marker on S.R. 73 in Union Township. The project also includes the addition of rock channel protection along the stream channel. Some small trees and bushes will be removed as part of the project; however, none of the trees have habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat. No new right of way will be needed, and no homes, businesses or structures will be removed by the project.

Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.
