Clinton/Highland County Chapter of Pheasants Forever reaches $100,000 contribution level for Wildlife Habitat and Conservation Education

The Clinton/Highland County Pheasants Forever Chapter was recently recognized at the State Pheasants Forever meeting in Lima for reaching the $100,000 contribution level for wildlife habitat and conservation education.  

The chapter has an annual fundraising banquet which is schedule for Feb. 25 at the Clinton County Fairground Expo Center. (Call (937)-981-2835 for reservations.)
 
The chapter has been in existents for 15 years using its profits to increase wildlife habitat and to hold and sponsor youth programs.  

Some of the projects the chapter does consist of an annual youth pheasant hunt, no-till drill purchased to plant habitat, cost share to plant prairie on special projects and private lands, food plot seed bought and disturbed to be plant for wildlife food, bonus money for Quail Habitat projects through Conservation Reserve Program, sponsored fishing derby at Greenfield, financially supported Quail Edge Feathering Project,  partnered with Ohio Division Of Wildlife on county fair booths and sponsored a bird dog challenge.
