Cliff Rosenberger announces candidacy for Ohio House

State Representative Cliff Rosenberger, R-Clarksville, has announced his candidacy to serve as state representative of the 91st Ohio House District during the 131st General Assembly.

“I am very grateful to have the opportunity to promote sound economic principles and a leaner, more efficient government structure on behalf of the residents of our district,” said Rep. Rosenberger, who is currently serving his second term in the House. “Jobs continue to be my number-one focus, and I would be honored to be able to return to the Statehouse for another term so we can continue the tremendous progress we’ve already made.”

“We owe a big thank you to State Representative Cliff Rosenberger for his support in locating Echo Environmental Waverly, LLC in Pike County. Had it not been for his dynamic representation with the State of Ohio, we would not have located our recycling business in Ohio…we were headed to Texas. Our business is now headquartered in a 1,000,000-square-foot building in Pike County. We currently have 52 current employees and are hoping to be four times that in five years. Our long term outlook is even greater. Representative Rosenberger is a tireless worker for the State of Ohio,” said Alan Stockmeister, Chairman, Elemetal, LLC, (parent company to Echo Environmental Waverly, LLC).

As a member of the House, Rosenberger serves as the chair of the Higher Education Subcommittee of the Finance and Appropriations Committee, as well as a member of the Finance and Appropriations Committee, the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, and the Public Utilities Committee. He was also selected to be the chair of the Higher Education Study Committee, which held a series of regional hearings throughout Ohio to take the discussions on higher education into the communities.

Rosenberger has maintained a focus on job creation and economic development within the region and, during his time in the House, worked to attract economic opportunities at the Wilmington Airpark, promote the region’s skilled and dependable labor force, and retain companies that have remained committed to our communities. He has continued to support legislative measures to reduce taxes on Ohioans, improve the business climate, and make government more efficient and accountable.

According to a news release, in the past year Rosenberger has help to facilitate more than 600 jobs to the 91st District, equating to more than $40 million in payroll and another $40 million in investment. More jobs are expected in the coming years based on the operations and growth projections from a few of the newly located companies, the news release stated.
