Bricen Hess exhibits the 2012 Highland County Fair Reserve Grand Champ Steer Friday, Sept. 7.

The steer weighed 1,345 pounds and brought $8.25 per pound ($11,096.25) at the livestock sale Friday evening.

Bricen's steer set a new Highland County Fair record for Reserve Grand Champion. He promptly donated a portion of the sale price back to the county Extension for 4-H programs.
