Armstrong to face additional attempted murder charges

Highland County Prosector Anneka P. Collins presented charges to the Highland County Grand Jury Tuesday in reference to Jeffrey Lee Armstrong, who was originally charged with felonious assault and was bound over to the Grand Jury on Aug. 23. The Grand Jury indicted Armstrong on two counts of attempted murder and one count of felonious assault.

Armstrong has been charged with two alternative counts of attempted murder, under different subsections of Ohio Revised Code section 2903.02.

Collins was able to present this case to the Grand Jury less than a month after the incident occurred thanks to the efficient and thorough work of the Highland County Sheriff's Department.
