Amish child drowns in Adams County community

ADAMS COUNTY - An Adams County child has died after being pulled from a stream, located in an Amish community.
According to WLWT News 5, "Deputies said 4-year-old Mahlon Yutzey had disappeared from a home at 6005 Unity Road shortly before noon. His mother went searching for him and found him facedown in a stream."
The news station reported that the child has been missing for 15 minutes before he was found, and that it was believed he went to the streams to look for frogs.
"They said he drowned in about 16 inches of water," it was reported.
She attempted CPR, while 911 was called. The child was transported to Adams County Regional Hospital, where he later died.
Ytzey lived in an Amish community, so someone ran to a phone booth located in the area, according to WLWT.
