American Workplace Consultants' client earns international health and safety registration

American Workplace Consultants, Inc. has announced that its client, Close the Loop, Inc., in has achieved registration to the international health and safety management system (OHSAS 18001).

Close the Loop is a leading global recycler of imaging consumables.

Jim Bishop of Hillsboro founded American Workplace Consultants, Inc. in 1992 and still serves as its president and executive consultant.

OHSAS 18001, like the ISO standards, is based on the principle of continuous improvement.

By combining the standard with CtL's existing health and safety policies and procedures, this Hebron, Ky. facility was able to maximize the effectiveness of the system.

OHSAS 18001 deeply embeds health and safety into the management system, so that business decisions taken will consider the health and safety impact of those decisions. As the OHSAS 18001 principles take root, health and safety becomes everyone's responsibility.

OHSAS 18001 registered organizations are assessed annually to ensure commitment to continuous improvement.

CtL had already earned registration to ISO 9001, R2, and ISO 14001; quality, electronics recycling, and environmental management systems standards,respectively. OHSAS 18001 was a natural progression to enhance their health and safety systems.
